lafortec becomes part of the Environmental and Climate Alliance Saxony
We are delighted to announce that lafortec has been officially confirmed as a member of the Environmental and Climate Alliance Saxony (Umwelt- und Klimaallianz Sachsen – UKA). The UKA is a long-term network that promotes exchange and communication between businesses and government institutions in Saxony. It provides a platform for making the commitment of Saxon companies to climate and environmental protection visible and for presenting successes in these areas.
After successfully completing the review process, we received official confirmation of our acceptance into the alliance. This membership enables us to further intensify our efforts to protect climate and environment as well as to network with other committed companies and institutions in Saxony.
Our measures so far
In order to live up to our responsibility and improve our environmental performance, we successfully implemented several sustainable measures even before we joined the alliance:
- Combined heat and power plant: By producing our own heat, we reduce our energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
- Photovoltaic system: Our photovoltaic system generates electricity from renewable sources and significantly improves our energy balance.
- Nitrogen plant: Producing our own nitrogen increases the efficiency of our processes and minimizes our ecological footprint.
- LED lighting throughout the company: By switching to energy-efficient LED lighting in all areas, we are reducing electricity consumption and helping to reduce CO2 emissions.
A significant moment was the official presentation of the certificate to our Managing Director Mr. Rönsch at this year's “Network Event of the Environmental and Climate Alliance Saxony”. This event took place on August 19, 2024 at the Lingnerschloss in Dresden and provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with other members of the Alliance and to gain new impetus for environmental protection.
We are proud to be part of this important network and see it as our responsibility to make an active contribution to environmental protection in Saxony.
